How ironic
that in one week
the same week
both wings
of the bird of prey

would both

to do a massive rules change

has the ability to deny

In a voice vote
clearly undecidable
ohn Boehner boldly declared
"The ayes have it

the DNC followed suit.
Apparently, the platform committee
had successfully removed "God"
and "Jerusalem as capitol of Israel" from the language.
A phone call from the President
instigated a motion to amend.
And here again
a voice vote was rolled over to achieve
the mandated
MANDATED
result.
In Tampa
the and pony show
was witnessed on teleprompter.
That's right
the GOP can NEVER criticize the Prez again
on "teleprompter"
The prompter actually said
"The ayes have it"
I guess the GOP does not trust ANYBODY
not even the speaker of the house...

they did it THREE times

Once again the arguments are starting,
as to why I should hold my nose
and vote for
"Evil A" vs. 'Evil B"...
Well meaning citizens
are the unwitting delivery system
of what I know to be
the real enemy...
FEAR.
The opposite of "Love"
is not hate...
It is Fear.
For it is fear that closes the mind,
and the heart
and reduces all who succumb to it
to self preservation,
instead of libertarian deliberations.
The reasons for the "counsel"
for my vote will vary
whether it be Supreme Court judges
or implementation of some hidden ism
or perceived inhumanity to man.
The other side cannot be wrong
It must be evil...
But it is FEAR...
the tool used by tyrants
to control problematic individuality
and corral new ideas
and trust...
FEAR...
is the ultimate censorship,
and yet we self promote it
instead of promoting
ourselves.
In 2007, Naomi Wolf passed through town
promoting her new book "Give Me Liberty".
Throughout the hour she recounted the 10 steps to tyranny,
from her previous book,
"The End of America"
And she painted a scenario whereby
Sarah Palin would be President for ten years...
So while Third Party is honorable
we cannot have this now...
Research will connect Ms. Wolf
and her husband as conceptual donors
to the Democratic Party line.
Al Gore sought the assistance of Naomi Wolf
to improve his image, as an Alpha male
and appeal to the new untapped
and 'unvoiced majority'
the Soccer Moms.
Ms. Wolf was so engrossed
in delivering this message
that in the question session
she was asked
"So what can we do?"
At this point it occurred to her
that she had NOT once
talked about the new book at all...
at which time she resorted to speeding reading
the table of contents aloud...
summing up with
It's all in here"
and holding her book aloft.
'Thank you for coming."
Ms. Wolf is a compelling speaker.
She has the flashing eyes, flowing mane
and all round good looks
of a Maria Shriver...
But her intent had me suspect.
We stood in line, to get her book signed,
there were a group of us from Campaign For Liberty...
The person before me was pitching Ron Paul
and that's when she said it...
the craftsman of FEAR's
most used line
"You will be wasting your vote...
you will be voting for THEM (insert "EVIL" )"
I laid my book before her
it had already been sticky noted
to the front page, labeled with my name
to facilitate a less than multi-tasking experience
for the young ( ish ) social policy wonk.
"Do you pray?"
I asked her
She looked up, and said yes.
"Well, have you ever wasted a Prayer?
Because a prayer and my vote come from the same place,
require the same pure heart to fashion them
and the same good conscience
to commit to them.
How can you in
good conscience
speak against anyone's vote
as if it could possibly be
"wrong?"
She actually paused before answering...
"I'll have to think about that."
I hope she did.
I am sure, if she ever sees this,
or is reminded of this incident,
that she will remember the moment.
Our eyes definitely met, glared, and penetrated.
And I will add, that as long as we eat out of either
the left, or the right hand,
and never taste anything new
we will we controlled.
One hand holds feed,
the other is a fist
we are told
One day
mark my words
both hands will clench
you will go hungry
and learn what FEAR really is.
Ironically
this IS Ms. Wolf's main theme... TYRANNY in America.
She just doesn't seem to project her light ...widely...
She has just

light
Before you vote... PRAY.

Military men are "dumb, stupid animals to be used" as pawns for foreign policy.
That controversial statement is attributed to Henry 'Dr. K" Kissinger, by Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein in their book, "The Final Days" ( 1976 ).
Purportedly it was said to fellow stalwart Neocon, Alexander Haig.
We have to remember that when it was said, we were still fighting ground wars, with troop movements and front lines. We have "evolved" since then. Now we only 'fund' ground wars, or "advise" them. We let the locals assume the role of cannon fodder. The cavalry no longer need stampede untold score of buffalo toward sleeping Indian villages, letting the herd mentality and fear transform "flight" responses of the mob into becoming an unwitting lethal killing machine.
( Doctor Kissinger received the Nobel Peace Prize, in 1973, for his "foreign policy". )
Yesterday, in Tampa, the Neocons dusted off this strategy yet again. The RNC, a Goliath, was unwilling to let Doctor Ron Paul's delegates, a David, enter the arena. Months of efforts to strip him of delegates, multiple court cases, attempts to change the rules in the eleventh hour, set the stage for the final line in the sand.
On Friday, August 24th, 2012, a date many have chiseled into their memory, the RNC pushed through a complete power grab, by passing a change in rules, in the rules committee, that reduced the efforts of four years of political process and involvement, into the thumbs up or down, of one candidate's campaign, and a panel of less than a dozen old white men... the Party Elite. Delegates could be kept or discarded at the campaign's whim. The "importance" of the caucus, was rescinded.
Many long time loyals to the party, such as Morton Blackwell, saw this as the worst exercise of tyranny by a party to date. For his efforts, the Virginian delegate bus, carrying Mr. Blackwell, got "lost" Tuesday, and circled the arena three times, causing him to miss his vote on that committee. Coincidentally, many other 'Paul ' buses got lost as well...

The reason that the Iowa Caucus is the kickoff for election year politics, is that we like to believe that the process involves real everyday American men and women. The caucus requires much more personal involvement than just going to the polls and voting. To be a delegate you have to run a campaign yourself. You need to know your neighbors, and they need to know you. Above all that, you need to "show up". Show up at local political meetings. Show up at the Capitol when an issue is at hand. Show up at City Hall and let your elected know, that you are watching, and reporting what you see. Show up, when a fellow constituent has a question.
The world IS run, by those that show up.
But the GOP is uncomfortable with the unpredictability of such a relationship. The Party, after all KNOWS what is best for you all, and if you would kindly get out of the way, and let us help you, we can show you how good at it we really are.

I have a young friend who is a Ron Paul delegate, rising from our city caucus here in St. Louis. If you watched Rand Paul's speech Wednesday night, you saw her.
She is very typical of many of the vibrant educated young people drawn to politics, by a sense of dread in our current direction, and yet also attracted to a sense of possibility inspired by Ron Paul's Liberty message. She is very much our version of Ashely Ryan from Maine, a state stripped of its delegates, a state that the Governor boycotted the convention because of the RNC's actions. These young people are not in Tampa to take... to be wined and dined by lobbyists, to party and buy silly hats. They are there to work, to spread the message of Liberty, and to congregate with other delegates and engage them in meaningful discussion. This is the real threat... that sound logic might entice the barely excited delegates of Mitt Romney. And because of this, the convention was canceled Monday, due to weather ( It was sunny and 67 degrees... ), and the coronation ( let's call it what it is ) of Mitt Romney was moved from Thursday up to Tuesday.
Clearly every move was intended to nullify any opportunity grassroots might have to engage in ANY discussion with other delegates at the convention. This was not to be a gathering of the tribes, this was to be the Oscar Wards. Very scripted, and very uninterrupted. This was a product roll out, and not a political rendezvous. We can't have "other" ideas being bandied about. Competition, as John D. Rockefeller is famous for saying, is EVIL.
It was disheartening to witness the process usurped Tuesday. The convention runs under rules, specifically Roberts Rules of Order, as well as the RNC rules, which, we have already seen, only apply when the RNC sees and deems them fit to follow. "Do as I say, and not as I do." Young grassroots delegates know, and were exercising these rules of ( ahem ) "order", after the voice votes, (visible on youtube) which were audibly indeterminable, and yet were called "Ayes have it". Even then, objections were dinned under, by chants of "U.S.A. U.S.A. "
To which the speaker intoned... "Hearing no objection..."
My friend the delegate was sending updates of the day's events, back to a Facebook page we all monitor. In one, she relayed how she asked a delegate, "Why are you chanting 'U.S.A. U.S.A. The response was... "that's what we were trained to do..."
In videos, you can read the lips of delegates trying to call out "Point Of Order", a motion under Robert's Rules. And yet, they are drowned out by a mob psychology chanting "U.S.A....U'S.A.",
surely thinking that they are being Patriotic, instead of actually drowning out free speech, and being used as an unsuspecting herd animal to stampede yet another indigenous group of "them", into the bloody mud.
This is the irony of politics in America today, foreign and domestic. We "spread democracy" with aggression. We "defend" a Constitution we can't take the time to read. We elect Senators and a Congress that take an oath to the Constitution, yet pass bills that THEY can't take the time to read. We complain about our representatives, and yet, they represent who we are, more than we would like to admit. They are lazy, easily led astray and always looking for a softer bed.
In short, they just aren't showing up.
Neither is the constituency.
Liberty only works, when it is the same for all. If you are willing to be a party to making it uneven for "the other side" to express itself, because it suits "your cause", that is not Liberty, and you are not who you think you are. You have decided that the ends justify the means, that it is okay for some small elite to decide "who wins, and who loses".
Don't look now, but YOU.... are just like..... THEM.

BREAKING:
Ron, Carol, and one of their granddaughters
left the GOP snake pit yesterday afternoon,
but the State was not yet through with them.
At the little airport in Clearwater,
8 TSA agents descended on them
and ordered them not to board their private plane.
First,
the pilots, the airplane, and the passengers
would have to be screened in great detail,
because Romney might be nearby.
After a long examination of the pilots and their credentials,
the agents said
they had to check the plane for explosives.
One of the pilots noted that the plane,
full of gas, was already a bomb.
Then Carol Paul, who has a heart pacemaker,
refused to be screened,
and an aide started taking video
of the whole rotten proceeding.
At that point, the TSA backed down and let them through.
