Today I was driving home and thinking about John Lennon's lovely song.."Imagine". Synchronistically it played on the radio mere moments after I had the thought of it! So, it MUST appear on my blog.
Imagine there's no heaven It's easy if you try No hell below us Above us only sky Imagine all the people Living for today...
Imagine there's no countries It isn't hard to do Nothing to kill or die for And no religion too Imagine all the people Living life in peace...
You may say I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one I hope someday you'll join us And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions I wonder if you can No need for greed or hunger A brotherhood of man Imagine all the people Sharing all the world...
You may say I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one I hope someday you'll join us And the world will live as one
The words are so true....and
GIVE PEACE A CHANCE, as well. All I'm saying.

Reading lately a book called An Awakening From the Trances of Everyday Life.....
Did you ever fight a losing battle? Worry about something that seems insoluble? Fretted over things unsaid, the past, the future?
In this very readable , "new-age" , self-help book I learned not to cause drama in my life by fighting against what the author calls a "done deal".
If something has already occurred it's a done deal. If you cannot DO anything about it, it's a done deal.
Let's all vow to stop drama and just BE in the BE....
Namaste

You know how you get a song stuck in your head....arrgghh.
Well this one has cropped up many times in my life and now you lucky people get to read its words....so enjoy. You may or may not remember the tune. I was a mere when it came out about 1965 or so. Anyway I revisited it on the CD "Byrds greatest Hits".
The first thing that I heard you say when you were standing there sad in your way was that you were not blind. You were sure to make a fool of me 'cause there was nothing there that you could see that could go beyond your mind. Now who's standing at the door remembering the days before and asking please be kind? It isn't how it was set up to be but I'll set you free this time.
I have never been so far out in front that I could ever ask for what I want and have it any time. Knowing this you found the thought for me that told you just what I should be and there I stood behind. With all the ones that were before and memories that always seem to tear me from my mind. In front of what it is you see me to be I'll set you free this time.
I could never find a chance to choose between a way to win or a thing to lose because there was your stand. On top of all of the love you took that was always something you could look at lying in your hand. Now who's wondering what has changed and why it cannot be arranged to have each thing work fine? It isn't how it was set up to be but I'll set you free this time.

Use to look like this...before I got divorced and lost my yard man...LOL
I have dreams of my yard renovated next spring...herb garden, butterfly garden and perennials...SIGH
Right now the roses are out of control...the weeds have taken over the paths and the water feature is a frog habitat.
NEXT YEAR.....NEXT YEAR
Thanks Wahine Yawn...for making me see the possibilities and not so much the weeds

music: "Imagine" by john Lennon mood: Hopeful
"A human being is part of a whole called by us the "Universe". A part limited in time and space. We experience ourselves, our thoughts and feelings, as something separate from the rest ~ a kind of optical delusion of our consciousness. This delusion is a prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires, and to affection for a few persons nearest' to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of understanding and compassion, to embrace all living creatures in the whole of nature and its beauty." Albert Einstein

One day, maybe all of us will reach the state of bliss that this quotation from Ken Wilber's book implies:
"Raindrops are beating, a large puddle is forming, there on the balcony. It all floats in Emptiness, in purest Transparency, with no one here to watch it. If there is an I , it is all that is arising, right now and right now and right now. My lungs are the sky; those mountains are my teeth; the soft clouds are my skin; the thunder is my heart beating time to the timeless; the rain itself, the tears of our collective estate, here where nothing is really happening at all."

Music: FleetwoodMac....Crystal Vision
I feel that in everyone's life there is a moment when the stars are aligned, all the ducks are in a row, everything is situated so CLEARLY that you just KNOW!
You know that this is RIGHT, that this is the thing that is supposed to BE. That all before now was merely leading up to NOW~
Please.....tell me of your crystalline moments of total clarity!
**************************************************
Do you always trust your first initial feeling?
Special knowledge- holds truth...bears believing
I turned around and the water was closing all around like a glove
Like the love that had finally, finally found me
Then i knew- in the crystalline knowledge of you
Drove me through the mountains
Through the crystal like and clear water fountain
Drove me like a magnet
To the sea
Fleetwood Mac...circa 1975
LOVE & LIGHT

You are a big slut like the rest of us are. I see where you are divorced and were probably fucking around while you were married, also. If you were miss goodie 2 shoes, you wouldn't be on this site looking for more dick. Scruples, yeah right!!!!!
From: deliciousngood Subject: RE: Sure you do !!! Message: >You don't know one thing about me....my scruples include: not sleeping with someone's husband, being trust worthy to those with whom I am intimate and being non-judgmental to those who merit that. Is this how you get your jollies? Attacking people you do not know and spilling vile words on them?
Now...does BEING on this site automatically MAKE me a slut. Does seeking pleasure in this world make you LESS than good, less than nice, less than WORTHY of decent treatment??? ARRGGHH

I love this sort of thing. Really makes you think.
Love is light, an understanding, a deep respect for yourself. Fear is darkness, an ungrateful response to existence. Ego is a thief that lives in fear --always running away, always hiding. Awareness is when you realize you do not need crutches to walk. Throw away the crutches-- you will fall, but I guarantee you will rise and walk on your own feet.
~UG Krishnamurti
SO...what do you think
Fear is the opposite of love? Love of self is required to love others? Ego is the crippler?

NOT FOR WOMEN ONLY...a flash for breast cancer

Just to put a late twist on the Breast Cancer Awareness effort:
A friend's HUSBAND suffered through a bout of breast cancer. Had a partial mastectomy and a round of chemo! He put off going to the doctor with a suspicious lump and almost waited too long.
DO NOT wait if you sense something is wrong in your body. Be Aware.
Love and healthy hooties!

A good friend sent me this to thank me for good advice. I do try to be objective when asked for advice and not inject myself into my response.
Just know this: Women are LOYAL and TRUE friends to have...you can take this to the bank. BUT...be a friend back...this is what we all crave in this life!
This is from Sir Edward Bulwer-Lytton (1831-91)
"It is a WONDERFUL ADVANTAGE TO A MAN, in every pursuit or avocation, to secure an advisor in a sensible woman. In a woman there is at once a subtile delacacy of tact and a plain soundness of judgement which are rarely combined to an equal degree in man.
A WOMAN, if she be really your friend, will have a sensitive regard for your character, honor, repute. She will seldom councel you to do a shabby thing; for a woman friend always desires to be proud of you."
The Earl of Lytton (1831-91)

A friend is camping, alone, tonight on top of Mount Mitchell (the highest point east of the Rockies). Today I wrote this poem for him as a commemoration of his trip. I wanted to share it with all of you, as well. Alone atop the mountain He was crying for a vision Cloud passing Sun sleeping Moon waning Hawk voicing with precision World turning Mist rising Dawn coming Day making its decision Spirit winnning Heart acting Find a blessing Alone atop the mountain ©Alice L.
