I've stumbled on this blog today [post 596984]. It's interesting to note that someone other than me is having as much problems with work as i am.
A few of you may have wondered why isn't there any new postings from me, although my presence have been made known at other members' blogs, but i didn't write a single thing the last 2 weeks on my own blog.
Some of you may know that things are not going that good for me lately. I've been procrastinating on whether i should leave my job or not. I recently moved to this job and only been here the last 3 months. Work is plenty, boss is just okay, colleagues are okay, but everything was all wrong.
Having a boss who works 24/7 is not easy. She even expects that her staff to do the same as her. She even mentioned the other day that she had a pathetic lifestyle as she brings work home every day. And a friend mentioned the other day that i have already got myself sucked into the same lifestyle as well.
Every other hour i'd wake up from my sleep and thought of unfinished work. Waking up at 5am to finish a last minute assignment at my home computer before going to work has became a norm for me.
Having colleagues who are nice but slow in productivity doesn't help either. Having department heads who's not able to write a simple letter writing, makes it even worse as well. And having a boss who's mood swings is really bad.. is the worse of them all. I do not know what to expect from her every morning. She'll hit out on all of us when things doesn't go her way, but she can be very nice with us the next day. Went through a whole day of shit from her recently as well and a daily dose of her moodiness for 4 days last week.
I need my life back. I have hardly seen my girlfriends anymore, and even going out with them had become hard for me. The whole time i was with them recently, all i could think of was going home and do my unfinished work. But i forced myself to stay on cause i need to forget about work. In the end, i felt guilty. Guilty for not doing work when it was time for me to relax??? As if going home at 9pm on daily basis and bringing work home, is not enough anymore. I do not even have the luxury to come in to work late either, even after the long hours you put in the night before. And working in an environment where the board meeting starts at 7pm and ends at 1am, is absurd as well. the last straw was when last week on a Friday evening, i had to ask for permission to go home at 7pm, whereby working hours ends at 5pm. She only agreed to it cause i brought home some work to do as well!!!
A friend said this to me today, "Your repsonsibily tells you, you are weak for not handling the amount of work. Your brain tells you to get out, and your heart tells you to get out too. Brain and heart should win over responsibility."
I just want OUT, and i want my life back. I want to be happy again as this job is dragging me down. I always enjoy the work i do and i want to be proud of the things that i did for the day. But none of this is happening, as i've too much to do and none of the items that i started off in the morning to do, ever get done.
I am feeling sorry to my family as i have not been able to hold down a job for a longer period, but i think i deserve a better job than this. There will be no perfect job, but there's always better ones.
Me being me and after procrastinating for so long, will now make my decision.
So, be it.

Taking Chances Based on Hope

I guess life is full of ups and downs. And it's full of surprises and happiness and sadness.
Once i made up my mind, i normally do not turn back, and yet just move on even if i do not know where am going. A friend said to me today, the grass is not always greener on the other side. The grass looks green to me cause it's what am hoping for in life to always find better things in life. The road may look dark and unsure of the paths but I've to live on.
I've learned many years ago, if i give up on hope, then it's not worth living and you become complacent. I believe that am still young and i've got a long way to go to better myself and i am not at that age to be complacent and contented with whatever i have.
So, the next decision i make, would be based on hope for a better life for me, not necessarily a better lifestyle.
If i don't try, forever i will ask myself what if...
i've done that when i was younger, didn't take the chance both in my career and in my love life... till now i'll always regret it. I will not make the same mistake again. Twice is enough.

I had a nice beginning to my Sunday. I was happy and happily blogging eventhough i had work to do. Till to-date @ 7pm, i've not done any work at all.
Then an hour ago, my boss had to spoil everything as she called up and told me something was fucked up at work! Can't she wait till monday to fuck up my day! geez! How frustrating can this be???
Then received news from Bloomie through sms. Not sure if i know the couple, but suffice to say that am sorry to hear of the news.
Anyway, there goes my sunday, and am sure my monday wont' get any better. Am definitely not happy with my job. Definitely!

Here I am, at 1pm on a Sunday afternoon. Had cookies for lunch.. hehehe.. chocolate cookies anyone???
Woke up to Wetp's sms with regards to tonight's function. Have reverted and mentioned that I will join in if i can get my work from the office done up.
Guess what? I've not started at it at all! LOL... Been busy blogging all morning, posting and surfing for more blogs to read, with plenty of ideas of what to write in my blog, but never get around to even starting it.

They are both very interesting blogs, cause they make you think how much do you want to reveal yourself.
I have answered Bo's questions accordingly, things that i've never in my life revealed to anyone, but i did it here cause it was fun.
As for Backdoorman's post, it has brought me back to the times when we were all still new here and just starting out to be an AdultFriendFinder member.
We were all very careful with even simple things like our real names, and where do we work and where we live. As we are very unsure of what type of people we are going to encounter. But these days, most of the times we would only hold back the places we work.
Sometimes, revealing simple things like our handphone numbers is difficult as well. Took me 7 months of chatting on ym, to finally get a handphone number of a guy that only lives 10 minutes away from me. That's how wary some of us are of people on AdultFriendFinder, cause certain information can be used against you i guess.
It took us a long while to finally trust the regular members and invite them for dinners or pot lucks to our homes. Or even invite them for our birthday parties and meet up with our family members. I've done this as well, and many others have, but it's a trust that builds up through the years. Most of them know where i live now.
There have been plenty of stories flying around whereby AdultFriendFinder members gets into trouble when they reveal too much, and have even lost their jobs and for those men who were married, their lovers managed to hurt their families by sending emails to their wives, almost breaking up a marriage.
So, seriously, how far would you reveal yourself to strangers in a website that is mainly all about sex?

After a long non-sociable life, finally i had hit 2 birds with one stone on Thursday night .. hehehehe
1. had a date with a nice gentleman  . No details though guys, sorry. Only the girls i met that night knows his name and knows how he looks like
2. met up with the girls as well. hehehe. It was good fun. Not sure when can i go out again, as it seems that for the next 2 weeks my time at work is pretty demanding and possibly long hours still. However, I went home with a very bad husky voice. though my date think it was sexy,  lol

Getting Older

Received yesterday an sms from one of the kiwi guys that i am close with. He's been having problems the last few weeks with his right foot. He finally asked his doctor to run an MRI test on him.
Last Thursday, he was diagnosed with Degenerative Disc Disease, and he's only 45 years old, and still a high flyer in his corporate world.
I felt sad for him, and wondering what will happen next. Fortunately for me, he is positive that the doctors can help him, even if it means that he has to go for surgery, he would still do it. His positive attitude has stopped me worrying too much about him. Am sure he will be okay.
Degenerative Disc Disease
Many of the problems in the spine are caused because of the process of degeneration of the intervertebral disc. Everything you do during the day - once you stand upright - begins to test the spine's ability to support your body weight. Over time, these repeated daily stresses and minor injuries can add up and begin to affect the discs in your spine. Minor injuries to the disc may occur and not cause pain at the time of the injury. However, as they add up, the disc eventually begins to suffer from the wear and tear - it begins to degenerate.

Well, One more thing about circumcision had suggested for me to make a post on circumcision.
Hmm... been surfing for articles on this matter, and have found very interesting articles. One of them is as per copied below :
Circumcision of Girls (Khafd):
If the circumcision of women is to be done, it involves cutting only the outer portion of the clitoris and not as is done in some Muslim countries as cutting off all the entire clitoris. 'Female circumcision' of the type practised by some people in Somalia, Egypt and some other African countries is a mutilation forbidden in Islam.
There's a saying 'When you circumcise, do not cut severely as that is better for a woman and more desirable for a husband.'"
When explaining this saying, the religious man points out that if a woman is circumcised, it would make her more sensitive during sexual intercourse (I love this part of the article!!!) and that they are told not to cut off all the clitoris for this would result in sexual problems. It is only removing the prepuce (bazr) of the clitoris, not the clitoris itself, as some mistakenly assert. Most elderlies say that this saying does not convey that it is an obligation for it only carries a request.
Some says that circumcision is obligatory upon the women. Some says that circumcision of women is not obligatory. Some consider it a mere courtesy to the husband. And according to some scholars, female circumcision is customarily done in a hot climate.
The medical doctors have differences of view regarding female circumcision. Some of the medical scholars encourage this practise while the others disagree with it. Actually the harm that is associated with female circumcision is because of either cutting it too much or the circumcision is carried out by inexperienced persons or by using dirty equipment which can cause other complications such as infections.
Circumcision is an important aspect for when the foreskin is not removed, urine and other secretions can collect under the folded skin. This area can become the site of very painful infections from bacterial growth and the minor operation of circumcision greatly simplifies basic hygiene for men and boys.
So, enough said about Circumcision. For Malay customs, the boys are circumcised around the age of 10 to 12 years old. But these days they have started to circumcised them even before they leave the hospitals - just like the jews within 8 days. I think it's cleaner and the parents do not have to deal with nursing their ' dick when they're older !!
As for the girls - not quite sure. Maybe when they were still a baby - like within one month old? Can any Malaysian girls update me on this?? LOL.. am still in the dark on this matter eventhough am at 36 years of age. Dang.. i hate it when family thinks it's a taboo subject! sigh.
Anyway, which would you prefer - circumcised or non circumcised?? this question is opened to both men and women!

It is interesting to note that my niece is now 12 years old. The little girl is grown up and even stands taller than me now. She's probably around 5'4" which is actually the average height for asian women, but bear in mind, she's only 12 years old.. she's got a few more years to hike up a few more inches. It's funny that i now have to look up at her. But then again, she's still a .
Was discussing with her mom the other day. Her mom informed that my niece has to start wearing a singlet or bra now, as her boobs have begun to show.. wow! That thought took me back to when i was 13 years old. How shy i felt to be told to take off my clothes in the fittign room with my mom around and to see if the bra fits. LOL.. gosh, those were the days.
I asked my sis-in-law, if she's going to start my niece to read mills%boons. She confirmed that at the end of the year she'll be reading all those soapy stories. LOL... I remembered more than 2 decades ago, i had to hide from my mom, the fact that i was even reading mills&boons as it was not acceptable then. I guess times has changed and parents are much more open than those days. It's definitely time for her to read about the birds and the bees now.
I've come a long way since then. Would be great to watch my niece's transition from a girl to a young lady. Good luck to her

sick and plenty of work to do

Of all days, i had to fall sick just before the weekend starts.
Cough and cold is no fun. Plus losing my voice at the same time too. arrggh. So, i guess i've to start learning sign language! 
Anyway, have used up one box of tissues last night and am starting to use a 2nd box already. Yeah, that's how much mucus i've to blow out from my nose ever so often. Not forgetting going to the bathroom to vomit throughout of the day and night of yesterday. Lucky for me, a chatter friend came by and dropped off a strip of pills that would stop me from vomitting, and it worked.
At least early this morning, i finally managed to doze off for a few hours, and woke up at 6am to do some work that i've brought home.
Yeah.. nowadays i have home work too 
That's my life now, work work work, and more stress.
Anyway, to my two friends who celebrated their birthday, last night, happy birthday guys. hope you had fun on my behalf
