The 300 Millionth Citizen

Early this morning the 300 millionth citizen was born in the USA. We don't know who it was or where it was ... we just know it was. Back when we hit 200 million, they selected a that was born at the exact time that the census bureau estimated and said it was that . Why can't we do the same thing this time. This would give all the companies involved in baby products a chance to show their generosity with free products ... maybe a scholarship fund for the lucky tyke. Call me ridiculous, but I want to know who this is.

They aren't doing it because they include people moving to the states in the 300 mil count. They don't know if it is a baby or an immigrant. The baby product companies are doing a scholarship type drawing for all kids born the month of october and every child born between sept - october are being offered some type of free goods including some type of certificate or something like that mentioning they were born at or around the 300 mil mark.

I read this in the paper over the weekend

I remember hearing that on the news and wondering if the landmark was actually a kid being born or another immigrant.

Have tongue, will use it. Repeatedly.

It could be either an immigrant or a newborn. We choose to celebrate a newborn because they are much cuter than an immigrant

This might put you at ease, There was baby girl born at 7:46 am Tuesday at Northside Hospital,ATL, 20 seconds before the US census bureaus population clock hit the 300 million mark. CNN, Good morning america and some other news crews were there. They still don't know if she is the 300 millionth though.

just read it in the paper today

Yeah, that baby was born by C-Section ... the C-section was originally scheduled for 8:30, I think the doctors moved it up so that she could be the one. Either way, it's not the baby's fault so if it is her congrats
