Have you ever heard the stars sing?

Has there ever been a time in your life that something or someone has spoken so directly to your soul that it flooded your mind and overwhelmed your senses?
When suddenly there is no past, no future, your entire life is just that one moment of a perfect beating heart.

A spec of time that you can be transported back to and see, feel, hear & taste with all the clarity of that moment?

A glance across a crowded room and connecting eye to eye, heart to heart with someone for a timeless eternity, for no one else exists & your hearts beat a rhythm of time immortal.

A song begins, bow slides over cello strings, tugging at your innermost being, the violin follows and soothes your mind, while the sax plays upon your passion, the oboe and flute caress as a lovers fingertips and a scene forms in your mind. Carried along on the ebb & flow, and as the crescendo crests you find that you are saturated with the sound, together one perfect beating heart.

Hiking on a warm summer day, come around a blind curve and have your breath snatched away by an awe inspiring beauty that can never be captured on canvas or film.
The feel of the sun on your skin after the coolness of the light rain that just fell.
The way the light lays softly gilding the land.
The gentle caress of the breeze that carries the scents of a 1000 different flowers, pine trees, and earth after rain.
The bubbling of the nearby stream overlain with the distant roar of the falls, birds calling, singing, then falling quiet.
Your soul breathes it in, holds it close and finds peace.

To hear a piano played so perfectly that it obliterates your senses, seeping into your very being, infusing your soul with cleansing clarity.

The smell of your new born .

The sound, smell & touch of your lover. His eyes, the caress of his voice.

Sunday dinner after church, at your grandparents house. The smell, laughter, comfort, love.

Your first kiss.

Your childs laughter.

Slamming of a screen door in the summer time.

To stand outside on a mountain top, on a night so cold that the very air bites your skin, and you look up at the stars and the air is so clear, and it is so quiet outside that you can hear the singing of the stars from the day of creation.

Because Gary & his camera gave me new eyes to see my world, again.

A double rainbow at night sitting on deck on a sailboat in Marigot, St Martin harbor, hours of 30ft waves and wind gusts of 60 in the Gulfstream, the silouette of a lover as her body shines from the erotic sexual sweat on the beach under the moon, the sunset in the mountains 4-wheeling, the smell of Spring every year, the voices of family and beloved friends....you have brought back wonderful thoughts

I must agree, that is also one of my favorites. There is no dark like the dark of a snowy night, with snow covered ground. That night more than any other proves there is no such thing as dark, just absence of light. Because it is not dark, or light, but someplace else.

Rain on the roof of your tent, cuddled warm in a sleeping bag.
