Blogs and groups now have customizable background colors!

Andrew, I hope you do not mind me posting a these links for members in your Blog in helping explain how the table colors are defined. This is for coloring individual topic postings. For those that wish to change the color backgrounds of individual topic postings this is how they are defined by the color selector.

Andrew, This may seem off topic but it is not. There are members feeling that the groups are suffering in activity because of the Blog sections, an idea of one of my members of my group was that it would be nice if the members in groups could also add a photo to the side of topic postings as done in the Blog section. I just wanted to pass this on, as I do agree with him since those photos can help increase the activity in the groups with its members. Nick
They are not visible in the Groups at all. Only Gold members are able to insert a photo into a posting that can be done anywhere, (i.e. Magazine sections, Blogs, Groups but not visible to the Standard members). All we have is the moderator chosen group photo on the description home page, but nothing to personlize a members topic posting with a photo as done in the Blogs. If I may suggest, it would be nice in groups if a member posting a topic could upload a photo that would be under their profile photo. On the left side of the topic. Nick

why is there a huge, gigantic space between all of the content on the left and the members list/photos on the right? I am viewing it through IE7 and havent tried it with any old versions of IE or any other browsers, so I dont know if it is just because of my browser or not? That space is very annoying, but I love the new colors thing.

Suggestion for Andrew... Get a CSR to scan the groups & blogs for messages directed to you & AdultFriendFinder in general. It will most certainly be enlightening. Current problems with the system: Terrible lag times, posts in grps & blogs truncating or outright disappearing and msg indexing is skewed and inconsistent. It appears that the database is losing it's structural integrity and getting worse. The rule engine is also starting to suffer as it is catching stuff that does not exist, and I'm not talking about the usual stuff. You have a problem with DB corruption, or at minimum the indexing structure. Might be time to consider implementing a clustered server system with a good fail over mechanism in place. As part of that, I would strongly suggest, that a housekeeping team be assembled and strip dead / non-active user's based on 12 months inactivity, dead group elimination. I'm sure that if this was accomplished and the DB was properly repaired and re-indexed, things would certainly improve and customer/client relations would improve. BTW: A parallel, test environment identical to Prod with "real world" testing & testers should be implemented. Just some thoughts & Suggestions. Muff

Hi there just wondered as I am about to start my own blog.....I have been a paying gold member from the first day I joined this site and yet I have received what I consider to be an abusive email from a standard member who has had multiple profiles(all of them standard and therefore free)informing me that unless I am prepared to comment on her blog every time I visit I should not visit her blog at all.... Is it compulsory to comment?and how is it on this site a free member can dictate what a paying member can do?? I was too much of a lady to say to her that I was actually waiting for an interesting blog from her to actually comment on????? any advice would be appreciated please thanks

Seeing as I'm here, I'd like to add my voice to the "colours, schmolours" crowd. What I'd find really useful in the blogs is a greater variety of emotions in the list that we see when posting a new thread in our blogs. There are so many missing! Where is 'victorious' or 'lost' or 'ambivalent' etc etc Perhaps an option to enter our own might be useful, seeing as there are just so many..... AND THE WINNER IS ~~~~ [post 2692868]

The colors work a treat : well done! But I notice other people have changed the text color of their blog titles. I can't get this to happen for me. Is there anything I should know? Or is it just my browser/OS combination?

Please explain because I'm stupid and lots f my sent mail isn't reaching the receivers and there is no personal info in it and btw, I don't mail people I haven't known awhile nbecause some of your lady friends here will say I'm deranged again but I don't care, its true, they have sent me viruses through mail here and buggered up my kids pc's so am wary of those I don't know and to mail the abuse team is a waste of good time cause the response doesn't work and I won't run up my phone bill for this company, I already pay enough to be abused by memnbers on this site even when I'm on cam and that too they steal the streaming and make their own or find notices to add to my pics and say it was found on the net. Sorry for the rant but at least your friends can now see what I have written to you instead of making up assumptions about me like they usually do. Look at my blog and the hidden posts and you will see what I mean how secure you are. Many of you network friends are the nastiest under false handles.. They think I don't know. Just like they think they know my spelling I trick them with it but I do know how they write and what they write and how they right. I might look green but I'm no cabbage. I suppose you going to ban me now for telling the truth like you did last time under my other handle. There are two fake handles of my old handle and they one and the same person who pretends she is not! Take care and I hope you will solve the abusive problems please.

I would like to be able to add more graphics and animated gifs please  ) to blogs as well as to group posts. There are obviously a lot of creative people here, and it could only enhance their creativity. And, when adding a graphic to a group's main page, it would be heaven to be able to place it on the page without it defaulting left and having the text NOT wrap around it. I know, I know, I want everything. hippie p.s. "Remove all inactive members from your friends network" looked great, and gave confirmation nicely, but didn't remove the inactive members for me. Has this function worked for anyone? Elevate me...

Little bug I've discovered in the colours settings... When I post a comment to someone elses' blog, the updated blog will display in the colours of MY blog, rather than theirs. When I go to another blog, and then back to the first, the colours return to their set scheme. A minor problem, to be sure, but one that ought to be corrected...
