The New Message Center is Here Users now have access to AdultFriendFinder's new Message Center. Now, it's easier to: *Compose, read, and add attachments to your messages. *View whole conversations in thread format. *Conduct full- searches of your messages to quickly locate your favorite conversations. *Stay organized with convenient filters and customizable labels. *Keep all your messages forever! Those of you who have switched over to the new MC have reported several bugs, including: -Inaccurate unread message counts -Missing older messages -Photo attachment/viewing issues We will constantly push out corrections and updates to make your experience better. If you have any suggestions or encounter any problems, please post a comment here, or use the 'Feedback' link in your message center. You may also switch back to the original version of Message Center using the link in the top right corner. Thanks for your feedback, everyone! Update 11/20/2012: The new Message Center is now live for 100% of members. Users will no longer be able to revert back to the old system. The new MC code that was pushed caused an increase in requests that caused issues with the system. For now, here are the high priority bugs we are working on: CD-10213 New MC: Photo will not attach to the message when the file extension is upper case CD-10412 Members unable to attach images to e-mail CD-10346 Messages not loading in the new message center CD-10372 Member’s message center is blank on new MC CD-10434 Profiles are showing the old MC design CD-10373 Members unable to use the buttons on new Message Center If you are experiencing issues outside of these mentioned, please email me or leave a comment here and I will file a bug report. For issue #10373, if you are using IE6 or IE7, update to the newest version or use an alternative browser. While these fixes will address the functionality of the new system, I understand that many still prefer the old system. This change is permanent. The new system is to function like SMS, where there's less of a barrier to respond. Instead of composing and formatting an email like you previously did, conversations back and forth will read more like a chat between yourself and other users. We hope that once the bugs are cleared, you'll be able to enjoy the new system of messaging. Also, keep in mind that you can include links in your messages, and no longer have to use post#tags in order to link to your blog, blog post, group, or any other website. I have two questions: 1. will you all eventually phase out the old Message Center? I tried the new one and had a harder time reading it. 2. Can I hide all of the mail showing in the left hand pane. I'm seeing all of my email: deleted, sent, saved, etc, but its all in a line so I can't tell which is which. Thanks in advance for your quick response

The new message centre is utterly confusing. Please don't delete the old one, which though clunky was clear.

Hi Aryana x I have said this in the feedback too, but think will say here as well! It is good that you say you can now see all your messages forever. BUT ............ It would appear that from September 9th there is much less of a limit to the amount of characters allowed, as from then, not all of my message is showing! Also there are no paragraphs. No formatting, therefore my pink 'cancer ribbon' is not pink! and is showing all in a line as just words. Oh, and that wouldn't be there now anyway as it seems you cannot attach your profile! The horny devil smiley  doesn't show, it shows as > There is no date and time of sent or received for each message, and no subject title. If you must do it in 'conversation' format, there still needs to be an Inbox, Sentbox, Drafts etc. Maybe a bit like Googlemail. Oh, and you can't save a message as a draft now! Well these are just some of the things I can think of ... I'm sure there is more that is not right!!! So I hope you do not switch off the original message centre, as I will definitely still be using that!

Yes, we will eventually be abandoning the old inbox. We are tweaking the design here as we collect user feedback. You can't hide everything, but you can use the filter to switch between which emails you see, ie. 'All,' 'Unread,' etc. You can also label your emails the way you choose, which will create a new category for them which you can sort through. Ahhh, I suspected as much. If they are still tweaking it and taking suggestions, I would strongly suggest that they (a)offer an option of hiding the left hand panel, (b)reducing the size of the width of the panel to a few pixels The problem that I am having is that I keep a very neat message page. Every email is either deleted right away or moved to a folder. When I open up the new feature I'm seeing *all of my deleted mail*, I can't tell what is new and what is not. It looks as though people are writing to me multiple times when they may not have. I'm also going to share this on the feedback link but i you could filter

spell check the new message center is missing some of the word processing functions the old version had ,, the spell check function is the most important function ,, can you put these functions on to this new version asap  scarlet is at the end of your rainbow

. COMFIRMED With a call to customer service there IS a site GLITCH! Not a change in membership policy as the rumors posting into the blogs state! Posting here, as there is not a separate thread about this topic yet. I will chime in with LadyTaTas and Dirtygirl411 - if the issue with standard members not being able to comment on blogs is indeed a new policy, I strongly protest it. I am one of those 'only here to blog' members - I paid for a premium membership about a year ago, basically just to get access to the 'where I'm quoted' feature. This was right before the free icebreaker silver memberships were announced. At any rate, you got your revenue from me but you can be sure that you probably won't get any more revenue, if this sticks.

Im gold member. I paid to be a gold member and all the "advantages" that came with it. As a blogger, I enjoy interacting with ALL members of the site. However, or the last few days I've noticed that although the "paid" members of the site could comment on the blog, my friends and blog readers who are standard members cannot. On several blogs there have been questions about this "problem." Some have said this move was its an effort to stop the bots/spammers after complaints by paying members. That makes about as much sense as a hog looking at a wrist watch. Bots and spammers dont respond to blogs. Others have said that the ability for standard members to respond to blogs has been removed, thereby forcing said standard members to become paying members. Again, that doesnt make much sense and is a really crappy business decision. You arent punishing the standard members, you are punishing the paying members... who, if it is true, are liable to take their money elsewhere. Im 99.9 percent positive I will. Lastly, there are posts hinting that its a "bug". It only effects standard members? Really? Darned interesting "bug" if you ask me. If this is indeed a "bug" when will this bug be resolved? Are there plans in place to allow those posts from standard member who have posted but were effectively blocked by some really crappy programing? Care to respond and explain? I sincerely hope that this whole not being able to comment on blogs for standard members is a glitch. If not, you will not get a penny from me again. If it is new policy, you are going to be surprised at the backlash from a lot of members who pay your bills. Please say it ain't so.

I'm all for new and improved, however, I've created some folders on the "old" mail center that are just not showing up in the "new" mail center. Will my personalized folders be coming over soon?

How about getting the site working and then not "improving" the fuctions if you really are about customer service. It appears that all improvements actually "encourage" people to upgrade their memberships. Just my 2 cents worth; T(bigdog)

I actually like the new message centre. Think it's much better. Just wish more could be done for standard members to message other standards members for free, like other sites.

AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! The message center changed to the UGLY, USELESS, INCOHERENT format with NO prior notice whatsoever!! Plus NONE of the new messages are loading!

Thanks for giving me the new message center with NO button to change back to the old. Oh yeah, and now I have ZERO emails showing. Last night, old message center = 500 emails, This morning, new message center = 0 emails. Good upgrade! About par for the course around here. 2022... it HAS be better, right?!

As usual, you are doing the exact opposite of what the users are telling you. We HATE the new message center! Throw this failure of an idea in the trash where it belongs!

THere is good and bad with the new message center, but there are couple of serious gaps. - No bling - Links to blog posts not working - links to blogs not working Like the grouped conversations

The so called New Message Center SUCKS big time. I do not understand why on earth something that is working beautifuly has to be changed to something that doesn't work. Are you doing this on purpose just to rile the members, if so, it's working!

I didn't like it when it was a trial version and went back to the old message centre because of said dislike and I sure as hell hate not being able to choose what message centre I want. I also really really dislike having to scroll to the bottom of the conversation just to read the new message as well. Not the most fun night that is for bloody sure. oh and about the standard member blog posting change in policy YOU HAVE GOT TO BE FUCKIN KIDDING ME

What is wrong with this site..if it is no broken then dont mess with it.. the new message center SUCKS , I have this spinning wheel right in the middle of the page, and it says I have 61 messages..which I know damn well I dont, because i keep my inbox with only recent messages which was 6 as of yesterday.. I DID NOT ACCEPT OR CHOOSE TO SWITCH TO THE NEW MESSAGE CENTER, How can I switch back to the old one???? unhappy shedevil

I'm sorry but for the lack of a better word, your new message center, sucks!!!!!! It makes no sense what so ever, I can't even read new messages even when they show up 3 days later, what is up with this?? Go back to the old one, there was nothing wrong with it in the first place, and besides there are plenty of other things on this site that could use fixing, not the old e-mail . This is probably going to cost you guys a lot of paying members, besides some standards, there was just no need to alter something that was actually WORKING!!!
