Hello, I am just glad the voices of the members were heard/listened to. I voted search profiles but I do like the simplicity of the word Search..I mean when someone is looking for a certain profile what are they doing ? They are searching. Like JN, I do hope some of the other recent issues are being reconsidered. There is always hope.. Ana6   I done made the devil a deal He made me pretty He made me smart

Can I have a "Search real, active profiles" function please? One that would ignore all the auto-generated fakes whose handles are a jumble of letters followed by two digits. You know the ones I mean... And to be honest I'm not interested in the 75% of profiles that haven't been active for over three months either.

So it looks like we are heading for a consensus on search/search profiles.... what a revolutionary leap forward ! Is there ANY chance of discuusing issues of REAL concern here ? .... like the epidemic of FAKE profiles for example ! There are thousands of FAKE profiles with usernames that are a jumble of letters with 2 digits at the end (computer generated).... they don't interact EVER so can't be scammers who need to communicate to achieve something..... all gorgeous girls..... and they all come online in the UK at noon EVERY SINGLE DAY..... I wonder WHO could be controlling them all ??? SITE SUPPORT HAVE REFUSED TO ANSWER ANY MORE QUESTIONS ON THE ISSUE OF FAKE PROFILES !!!!! So much for customer service !!!

I'll make a separate post on this and let you know exactly what we are working on to help stop fraud. Thanks, that would be great. I've been a member for about four years but recently, and speaking for the UK, this problem has increased to epidemic proportions. It has reached blood boiling point with a huge percentage of male members here, and the girls are sick of hearing about it. It is without doubt the number one gripe among the guys by a mile. I'm sure if we could have some dialogue about it you would go a long way to regaining members' confidence in your organisation.... at the moment it is looking like a mass exodus of members here when their current memberships expire. As tempers are frayed about this the women suffer the knock-on effect too.The recent refusal of Site Support to even allow any more questions to be posted about the issue is the final straw and the situation has become explosive so the sooner you are able to get a discussion going the better chance there is of defusing the strength of feeling aabout it. I would make one plea Ryan..... that we are able to get straight answers to specific, well formed questions. Otherwise it will only antagonise people further (if that is possible). I'm not talking about people who just moan and who have no real understanding of the problem and little experience of the site, but considered points intelligently constructed which deserve a substantive response. I thank you for your reply and hope you will take my comments on board, I'm trying to help here.

Darn, I should have read before I posted. I get the issue now with someone(s) being concerned about the overuse of the term "Search". At it's heart this site is a site where people come to meet each other. I wonder, are there any stats of what percentage of members who have been active in the last 30 days have a blog or belong to a group that they have posted to in the last u14 days? I bet it's a minority. m I still say keep the "people" search labeled as "Search" and Label the other searches as "Find a [Contextual].. SO Find a Blog, Find a Group, etc. Can't wait to see what this ends up looking like.

My preference is leave it as SEARCH but if the powers that be have to make a change then my choice would be FIND MEMBERS instead of SEARCH PROFILES. While it would be searching to find the matching CRITERIA of profiles, the results one is going to see are MEMBERS handles to which one can then decide which actual profiles to click and view. Now MY question is if a change IS made, what part of the site that works will f* up?!?

That if what a.f.f. seem to want MORE lunitics, as the real members are treated far worse!!! And I dont seem to understand the reason fake profiles?? What are they doing on here?? How can a.f.f. get rid of them?? hackers all over the place??? Just wondering??? How do you think all of us can be safe from hackers if on the web??? Have a great horny day LUV

Just FYI on this one - We stop showing members in search after 6 months of inactivity. The problem is with browsing. Which is also affected by the number of fakes - as are My Latest Matches (which shows how many fakes are created each day) and Who's Online Now. What's interesting about the scrambled-letter-with-two-digits-at-the-end fakes is that they all come online at the same time - around midday and then again in the early evening. Not only do they completely swamp Who's Online Now, but they also get top priority. To get to "real" profiles you have to go past pages of these fakes.

Well out of the choices, not very much, but alot of views and very few votes, yes at the time of this blog!! it has 844 views and 103 votes, and alot of poor ones, so no wonder few votes!!! so the members that have seen the choice, not voteing as poor names!!!!does that tell you something??
