Hey Ladies, Why Are You Checking Each Other Out?  I have a simple question, that probably has a complex answer. Why do straight women check each other out on AdultFriendFinder? Here's the deal, we've noticed when sending newsletters or just tallying up clicks around the site that women check each other out just about as much as men check women out. Why is that? The armchair dood psychologist in me says it's to compare yourself against other women, for competitive reasons. Maybe it's just for makeup tips. Maybe you just want to know who someone else is. Are girls just prettier to look at than men? Maybe it's something else specific to AdultFriendFinder? You tell me, why are women looking at so many women? |

Exactly what earthywoman said! Usually for me it's other bloggers. OR it's a guy I'm checking out and also check out his testimonials or women in his network. The only other reason I can think of is for my husband...he has a standard account and can't see profiles. So, if someone checks him out and he wants to check her out, we use my paid profile. ***

Hello, from my experience here women check me out to see what is in my profile? It could the competitive nature in them or just interested in me as a person. I sometimes check them out myself in response. I had women write to me sometimes in response to the add. Like the old saying curiousity kills the cat. I have to agree with just about 'everything' said here. ME PERSONALLY.. I 'always' read the profile of EVERY person that visits my blog.. male AND female!! I love to read profiles. Definitely I see the wording and I have (when I had a profile for looking up), used words and phrases "with permission of the writer" in my own profile. MOST definitely, if MEN would learn to 'read other men's profiles' the would see just how often they are almost word for word the SAME and start changing that. But I have heard from many a guy that they somehow think 'it makes them gay' to look at another man's profile. THAT IS SOOOO WRONG!! I am not gay, but most definitely the women's profiles are SO diverse as opposed to the men's profiles... they are definitely WORTH reading!! One of my best friends on here IS a woman and we met on here!

I usually check out the blogs of people I see commenting on posts here on AdultFriendFinder. I don't check out that many women--I don't know why--but I occasionally do. "Don't cry because it's over; smile because it happened."

1. Men of interest ~ check out who gave them a testimonial or who their friends are and maybe you see if he gave any of them testimonials or perhaps share group/blog interests with. 2. I see them in the blogs. 3. I see them in the groups. 4. I check out their bling. 5. They ask me to help with profile design issues. 6. I talk to them in a chat room. 7. I see an interesting photo. 8. If I believe another woman has found success in some form and we are looking for similar things, I want to get an idea of what her profile said and maybe learn something. I'm always looking for ways to improve my profile. 9. They are my friends. 10. Just because I felt like it. I should add that women are far less phobic about being seen checking out a female profile than some men seemingly are. We don't necessarily read anything into why another woman checks us out. I have often heard guys refuse to look at other male profiles for that reason alone. They don't want to appear interested to another male. Most women don't think that way. Also, I think far more women view in stealth than men and if your setting are that you are looking for males only, you don't see what women view you or get notifications of flirts or hotlistings from them. I'm sure plenty of women and couples view my profile, but I never know about it or think about it. I really wouldn't care if I did know about it too.

Well remove the blings from profile to separate section, just like blogs, and there you go... guess most of my female profile views are for blings. But seriously, it's pretty unfair that checking and getting blings gives you profile views - but checking and getting comments on your blog doesn't... And like with some others, strange question! But often I want to see who the friends are, who gave testimonials, with whom I'm talking in Blogland and so forth. I'm not comparing etc myself with anybody, I'm me, they are they. We're looking for female friends on here, too, not just guys to have sex with. I'm curious...do the men look at other men as often as women look at other women? If they don't, it could be because they're only here for sex; whereas, women are here for more than just sex. Another reason could be that a lot of the female profiles are really standard member men, who put up a fake female picture and capitalize on the popularity privileges that allow them to read women's profiles and perv the pictures. Here are my reasons for viewing women's profiles: 1. Many of my friends are women, and I have to go through their profile to get to the email form. 2. Some of the best bling makers are women, and I have to get their bling from their profile. 3. When I'm in the mood to bust fakes, I always go for female fakes because there are so many of them. 4. When a new person joins a group I'm in, I usually check out their profile, whether it's a man or a woman. 5. Sometimes I just like to see what other women are doing on here...what pictures they put up, how they word their profiles, what they're looking for, how they decorate their profiles, etc. 6. I see the women on the site as being trendsetters and being a little more creative and stylish than the men, so their profiles are more interesting. Although, there ARE some very, very creative guys on here, too. It's kind of like real life, where women check each other out for fashion and style ideas. 7. Women are pretty.

Just a guess: but some women here are bi or gay,the other reason that comes to mind is perhaps they are looking at other profiles to get ideas to try on their profile.

I agree with most of the writings on here...sometimes when a woman checks out another woman's profile or pics on the profiles is maybe because she is bi and suppresses it but its a way of getting that "urge" to see other women naked that is a turn on for them...they might be masturbating while watching videos...in other words filling in their needs

Obviously I can't speak for the motivation of all women, as we are all individuals, have different sexual preferences, etc. I don't visit other women's profiles, but I do look at pictures on blogs, etc. I do check out other women's bodies if they are shown. I'm not bi or bi-curious. I'm just curious and I am comfortable with myself enough to appreciate or compliment another woman on her beauty or sexiness. And beauty comes in many sizes, shapes and varieties! I am not a catty person, I am not jealous of other women necessarily. Sure, there are some bodies or faces I have seen I would love were mine instead! lol But I don't hold that against the women that I see on here. I would welcome the friendship of other women on here very much so. To share ideas, vent with, talk about common interests, whatever! I check out the women on cam all the time - why? I'm curious, I want to see what's going on... if I like what I see, I'll try to compliment them. It's not primarily a sexual thing, though some of the women are very sexy indeed - and it has nothing to do with 'competition'. I'm a woman, I cam, I get all the attention I need, and then some. Checking out women's profiles is less frequent for me, and is generally limited to people I'm specifically interested in for one reason or another - they might have written an especially smart comment on my blog, or have an exceptionally well written blog themselves; they might have pissed me off with a comment in chat or on a blog; they might just be someone who intrigues me for one reason or another and I'll be curious as to what they have to say on their profile. They might have a really wonderful outfit on that I'm curious about. Men's profiles? Only when the person has already interested me, or if I'm in the process of banning them from my cam/profile/chat. Otherwise, it's just too much bad writing and cock shots.

Well I think that women are just nice to look at whether you are a man or a woman. all those curves and they all lead somewhere nice.
