Birthday Drunks

Birthday Drunks Okay folks. Can someone tell me why in the hell to we find it necessary to get drunk when we celebrate our birthday? I mean, we go out with friends with the idea of maybe just having dinner, going to a bar for some darts, to play pool or whatever. All of sudden the shots of tequila, Kamikazes, snakebite, chocolate cake, orgasms; damn there were so many different types that I can’t remember all the names. Everyone in the bar is buying you shots so I guess you feel obligated to drink ‘em. Either that or you’re just caught up in the moment. What's even worse, is the fact that I generally celebrate it for two days. Why you ask?  Well, I was born in the U.S. mainland and I live in Guam. Guam is about 16 hours ahead of EST depending on daylight saving time. Therefore, the dates are the same for a number of hours; so in my infinite wisdom as long as the dates are the same I'm celebrating. Okay, so it just another excuse to prolong getting free drinks  Bottom line here is that I got drunk as a skunk on Friday night, got up at 6am to go play golf (staggering) and went back out Saturday night to celebrate more of my 'birthday'. Hell, if a woman had offered to give me 'some' on one of those nights I probably would have fallen asleep attempting to accomplish 'the act'. Do you find yourself having a few too many on your special day? And again, why do we do it?As long as you can live with the decisions you make and there's no harm done.....who cares what other people think? Live your life, no one can live it for you!  |

     Dimples baby....Happy Birthday! Mine was yesterday on inaugeration day. I'm 58 and fabulous! I had a couple martini's straight up with blue cheese olives. Yummy! It's like drinking gasoline or nail polish remover! But I behaved myself for a change! You are young enjoy it! Plus I love the two day time change thing....I'd be milking that one myself! Happy belated Birthday! Why stop doing something that temporarily makes you feel great? The more you have the more you want. I lived for almost 20 years in a hangover. Ugh my head hurts thinking about those years. Happily, I can say I haven't had a hangover in almost 3 years.  Cheryl

well Happy Bday .... am not sure why we do this knowing it will bring us to the alter of the porclein god ...but I haven't for the last ten years ...there are days I miss it but then again Refusing to flirt .....but will tease

Because it's fun...and you can... and you have a year to recover from it! It does depend what you have planned though, on my birthday last year, had special plans and there was no way I wanted to get drunk before hand and miss the whole experience....  M x

LOL...Because it's FREE. and because your just having a great time out having lots of fun. and a freind once told me and i quote and agree "if your not having fun then your doing something wrong". so it's all good. Birthday's only come around once a year. well, for you twice....LOL

lol I am usually pretty tame on celebrating my birthday....HOWEVER, it's those spur of the moment parties that leave me staggering drunk, slurring my words, and drunk Iming Why do we do it?...because it's human nature to want to feel good. Yes i know it's shortlived at times since those nasty ass morning afters arrive too quickly....lol hell I had a hangover before I went to bed last time I drank. Trust me ....you wouldn't fall asleep here Share my journey...I write when my soul cries.
