Hmmm, I wonder if they will let banned words into the comment box? I will test the original post here... Prom Faces My friends, some of you have urged me to show my prom face. Since that post turned out to be fun for me after all, I scanned the only pic I have remaining from that event and have digitized it for y'alls amusement. My mom took that pic just before I left to pick up my date. OMG! Do I ever look ridiculous or what??? PS: I swear, I fit right in with that zoot suit I am wearing too. The early seventies were um, colorful with the fashions were they not? PPS: My pre-dancing face looks almost normal. You shoulda seen me on the dance floor that night though. OMG! Talk about yer "dancing faces"! I was concentrating so hard on looking good as a dancer I musta come across like Paris Hilton reading a philosophy book. (confused, but giving it a shot anyway). Thankfully I think my pictures from the prom have been safely locked away where I'll never find them again. At least I didn't wear a red tux with black trim.

ok here's the real deal keith!!! i was in the class of 74 (but graduated a year early), but anyway...i chose not to go to my prom....for whatever reasons..... probably was going on a better "trip" that night!!! but anyway i did go to my prom....a few years later....with my best friend's younger brother....it was so cool....i was 21 by then and of course the little kids were blown away when he walked in with me.....but the best part was i was able to buy drinks for all of us at dinner prior.....and besides the school officials and chaperones recognizing me and being blown away.....i was able to drive them home!!! oh life is good!!!!

ER, I never would have guessed. Crimson is the one who urged me to post a pic from that time in the chatroom. And she hasn't even been here yet. The responses are not what I expected. I expected most to get a good laugh at my expense, but along with the laughing many found themselves digging deep in their memorories for their own similar experience. Pity that some of us have to dig soooo deep! (I am getting sooo old). The zoot suit is quite flashy, but gawd help us if 70's styles come back again. Ugh! I suppose disco music will stay out of style. It was okay for dancing, but as music composition it was basically trash. Hey expat! I changed the hippy look two yrs. later. Besides, pussinboots4u and greenie seemed to like it and that puts me way ahead. Um, why not post a pic of the 17yr old expatbrit49? I promise to be gentle when I comment on it. Mnfun, I don't think a prom theme will be necessary. From what I have been reading in our blogs, little excuse is needed to get most of us in hotel rooms.
