I won 1st place in my age division!!
It is called "Ft. Lauderdale Ocean Rough Water Swim" and is sponsored by International Swimming Hall Of Fame and believe me it was rough today! It was so bad that a few could not even get past the surf coming in and had to give up. But I made it and the whole mile in 47.24 minutes. I got stung on the upper lip and right side of my face by Portuguese Man Of War but it was not that bad, the water was cold but then it would strangely get warm? My buddy thought that the swimmers ahead of me were peeing in the water and asked if the water color was yellow?

My new dive buddy Carol came to watch me and we attended the awards ceremony after the race and we had pizza while waiting for them to get the results. They had T-Shirts for sale for $15.00 but they were worse then last year so did not get one this time.
Carol took some pictures with her camera phone, will try to post them later when we can figure out how to send them to my computer? Finally got them on my computer and I have three more pictures for you to see, just click on Cuddy Cabin Fun above with your mouse pointer.

Are any of you fit enough to swim a mile?

 You should be proud that at your age division you are able to won such sport competition. Congratulation. I don't swim I would sink and get drown.
